WaveChanger’s Facilitation Approach
WaveChanger facilitation is a unique, non-traditional method of facilitation designed for highly effective group collaboration. WaveChanger does not rely on techniques or personality types, but rather on a proven process and principle-based methodology.
WaveChanger is based on a principle-based method called “Results-Based Conversations” (RbC).
The RbC method is the result of almost 20 years of real-world experience.
Behind it are four key beliefs.
The Answer is in the Room. The challenge, then, is to discover it through productive conversations.
Collaborative Conversations deliver the best results.
We have found no more effective approach!
People support what they help create.
Until people own the result, it is just an intellectual interest.
Wasting time is the Enemy. Unproductive sessions only frustrate and reduce the effectiveness of the organization.
The WaveChanger RbC method provides a disciplined process for planning and facilitating productive sessions around complex and strategic topics.
It emphasizes collaboration throughout to ensure success. We believe that outcomes are primarily determined, before the session, by clear objectives and in-depth planning.
With WaveChanger RbC the objectives of the session sponsor guide the complete design of the planned session. The RbC Facilitator meets early with the sponsor and uses the 5P’s (Purpose, People, Pressures, Place & Pre-Work) to elicit the key information for the session design. Then the RbC Facilitator prepares a Design Document to encompass the 5P’s and guide the subsequent session. This ensures that the conversations and activities during the session accomplish the goals set by the sponsors and draw out the best thoughts and ideas.
This approach to collaborative session design has the effect of reducing the pressure on the Facilitator. Their role is to follow the process and participate from the side. The RbC method and process are the keys to WaveChanger’s success in achieving high levels of collaborative engagement and results.
